thanks for the response but im not refering to matching both sides of the link.
im refering to the hash value assigned to which pair in the LAG is used for that traffic. If its a 3Bit hash there is an imbalance that can occur when using uneven members, eg

3bit, 8 possible bit buckets, 3 pairs end up with the following balancing
L1 ,L2 , L3
L1 , L2, L3
L1 , L2.
i know the other end of the link is using 3bit, but that doesnt matter as its low level upstream traffic and wont face an issue. I just cant find anything official from Juniper if uneven members are an issue or not. Im thinking its 3bit as max LAG members are 8.
