Skyver, to answer your original question the answer is No. Cat 6500 (and the article) are REALLY OLD, almost as old as me (37 years in this industry and counting!). All modern algorthums hash via the number of links in the bundle, not a fix number. So if 5 links in the bundle, 5-bit hash or modula 5 distribution. Using a fix number defeats the purpose of using a LAG (FEC), and this is 1st I knew Cisco used fixed number. Every other product I have been associated with use hash modula number of links in the bundle.
