Dedicated Management Switch and EX4200 virtual-chassis

Hello All,

I could really use some help. I'm attempting to correctly deploy a dedicated management network for our Juniper switches. To do this I've configured a single, stand-alone Juniper EX4200 as the management switch. I've configured two VLAN l3-interfaces that inter-connect with both of our cores and added those interfaces to our OSPF area 0.0.0.0. I have physically run an ethernet cable from the management switch 'mgmt' port on the back to ethernet port 0 on the front. This has allowed my management switch to be reachable on the network in the default routing table inet.0.

The problem comes up when I add my second device to the management network. The second device is an EX4200 virtual-chass which has three members (master, backup and linecard). On that device the only way I can get the mgmt port to be reachable is when I configure me0.0 instead of vme.0 and add me0.0 to ospf. Even then, the solution only works temporarily until I get a Duplicate IP address condition that is only cleared by clearing the ospf interface me0. I've worked with a Juniper rep to our company who seems to be pretty busy but he's been unable to resolve my issue. The issue seems to be pretty simple but it hasn't been simple to resolve at all.

Can anyone help?
