For the specific part about the channazlization of QSFP+ ports i cant help.

But in general you can configure non excisiting ports in Junos.
For example an SFP+/SFP combo port.

For these you may include config for both port-types (ge-x/y/z/ and xe-x/y/z).
Depending on the actual transceiver in the port, the corresponding interface wille become active.
And the config for the non exicting interface will simply be inorged.
