After unboxing the 2200-C, I connected the Mini-USB end to the CON on the front panel. The other end into USB port of my PC running Windows 10.
Windows 10 does see a new USB port and gives it COM11 ( since com1 is busy).
The next step, to run Putty where I configure ' Serial', baud 9,600, bits 8 etc ( what's shown on Juniper's website).
After configuring Putty, a DOS like environment pops up with a Green square cursor - but thats all that it does! It just sits there!
I tried all kinds of configurations - after 3 hours - just gave up! Tech support want $$$ in a contract..
On the junipers website ( tho vague in its usual way) mentions that the mini-USB port is passive and the RJ45 port is Active by deault. So does this mean I need to first connect with the unit via the RJ45 Con port first???
If so, ( obviously, I dont have the ancient db9 serial interface on my PC) do i need to connect with a network cable with RJ45 both ends connected to the RJ45 to DB9 ( provided) and then DB9 to USB to finally communicate with unit?
Or is something wrong with the unit ??
