First, this is new deployment .
Second, we have configured on all EXs and QFXs to sync timing with our DC server .
However, we get 1 hour delay .
Here is the configuration:
admin@SW-VC-EX3300> show configuration | display set | match ntp
set system ntp server 10.21.4.30
After the tcpdump troubleshooting, we got this output:
10:06:50.221252 Out IP truncated-ip - 22 bytes missing! 10.1.99.40.123 > 10.21.4.30.123: NTPv4, Client, length 48
10:06:50.223163 In IP truncated-ip - 26 bytes missing! 10.21.4.30.123 > 10.1.99.40.123: NTPv3, Server, length 48
So we changed to version 3 :
10:08:18.839138 Out IP truncated-ip - 22 bytes missing! 10.1.99.40.123 > 10.21.4.30.123: NTPv3, Client, length 48
10:08:18.846433 In IP truncated-ip - 26 bytes missing! 10.21.4.30.123 > 10.1.99.40.123: NTPv3, Server, length 48
10:08:20.837629 Out IP truncated-ip - 22 bytes missing! 10.1.99.40.123 > 10.21.4.30.123: NTPv3, Client, length 48
But still this issue didn't got resolved .
So we thought there might be something wrong in the NTP server , so we changed to another DC . Still, didn't work .
What we need to configure in the EX and QFX switches in order to get this work !
