Re: Q in Q between EX4200 and EX3400

Hi J,

Thank you for your response !

What I want to do is:

Servers < - - - > EX4200 < - - (Q in Q tunnel) -  - > Service Provider < - - (Q in Q tunnel ) -  - > EX3400 < - - - > Servers

My Servers are directly connected to EX4200/EX3400 and my Service provider is directly connected to them.

The problem for me (I’m far from expert in networking) is that in any example I’ve read, there was always a Port for customer’s traffic coming on dedicated switch between EX4200/EX3400 and the Service Provider.

Is this a mandatory requirement to have such dedicated switch for QinQ and all of my other Network/Server's VLAN to be separated from it?

PS: I’m wondering can I do it in this way:

EX4200 (enabled S-Vlan 3100)

Port 0/0/1– Trunk with all my VLANs that I want to be tunneled

Port 0/0/2– Access with Vlan 3100

(Port 0/0/1 and port 0/0/2 connected with patch cord)

Port 0/0/3– Trunk with Vlan 3100 (Connected to EX3400 port 0/0/3 for Q in Q tunneling )

EX3400 (enabled S-Vlan 3100)

Port 0/0/1– Trunk with all my VLANs that I want to be tunneled

Port 0/0/2– Access with Vlan 3100

(Port 0/0/1 and port 0/0/2 connected with patch cord)

Port 0/0/3– Trunk with Vlan 3100  Connected to EX4200 port 0/0/3 for Q in Q tunneling )

Regards,

Georgi
