we have a production qfx virtual chassis (ring topology) built up by 5 qfx 5100 members (x2 RE & x2 LC). There's no Routing engine priority set on the configuration and FPC 1 (memeber1) is actig as master while FPC 0 is (memeber0)actig as backup RE. We are going to perform some HA tests and of of them is related to the routing-engine swithover. I wonder if this is achivied just via "request chassis routing-engine master switch check" && "request chassis routing-engine master switch " and if there's any impact to be considered on the traffic. I heard there could be some impact for LAG interfaces but could not find detailed document about this. show system switchover cli cmd seems to not apply to this config. Any idea?
on teh other hand, in order to power off the backup RE, if we enter "request system halt backup-routing-engine", how can we then power it on? is there any way to elect the memebr to pwoer on via CLI?
