I'm hoping to understand the real world behavior of using request system software nonstop-upgrade on a mixed VC of EX4300 and EX4600 switches. For a time I know that was discouraged (or just plain didn't work, don't recall) because of the differences between the two switches. It seems now this may have been remedied, but I don't have the hardware necessary to lab it out.
I'm used to how it works on EX4200 VCs and EX4200/4550 mixed VCs ( automatically upgrade and reboot backup RE, upgrade and reboot line cards in order, upgrade and reboot master RE). I'm hoping it works the same way now with EX4600 and EX4300 mixed VCs so that we can use the in-service/nonstop upgrade feature on such VCs.
Anyone tried this?
