We're getting a set of two ethernet handoffs for a L2 datacenter interconnect from our telecom. They are using VRRP on their end, whereas on our end the two lines are going into two different EX2300 members of a virtual chassis. The EX/VC isn't actually doing any routing currently, rather it has an AE to a pair of SRX300s that handle all routing and firewalling.
What is best practice for connecting like this?
Currently I just added a vlan, set ge-1/0/20 and 0/0/20 to be untagged for the vlan, added the vlan to the AE, added the vlan to the SRX chassis cluster with a L3 interface on it, and set a route on the SRX for the remote network over the ethernet handoff. I'm worried that plugging both in might cause a routing loop, and thinking I may need to do VRRP on the EX for those two ports somehow?
